Bleeding to Death

"Is someone hurt?"

(tears in eyes) "Yes sir."

“Well, don't be a fool. Go help them.”

“But sir… the person that’s hurt…”

“Don't waste your time, they could be bleeding to death and you’re wasting their last seconds saying ‘But sir’”

“It’s you…”

“What’s me? My God, go help them!”

“The person that’s injured, it’s you… you’re injured.”

(Looks around) “Oh. I see. Well, you could have told me instead of wasting your time telling me someone was hurt! My God – what an awful rouse! We’ll what’s wrong with me then? I can’t see a damn thing.”

“Well…”

“Stop saying ‘well’ and get on with it! You don't need to tell it to me gently; I don't think harsh words are what will kill me at this point!”

“You’re bleeding to death. You’ve got four bullet wounds – two in which are close to your heart. You’re left leg is hanging on by a thread and by the looks of it you should already be dead.”

“My God, what are you trying to do? Kill me?! Give me a little heart attack for kicks?! Well I got news for ya’! I aint’ going anywhere. You think a couple wounds will kill me? I THINK NOT!” (coughs) “A cold too!?!”

“Sir, you’re coughing up blood.”

“Thanks for the update…”
